Do you need to be informed about the increase or decrease of a certain immission in order to be able to react appropriately fast?

The demand for comprehensive monitoring systems has increased significantly during the last decade. This is last but not least due to the ubiquitous presence of mobile internet and smart phones that serve to accomplish also complex tasks such as monitoring and controling immissions originating from construction sites or traffic routes. The implementations that we offer take account of these developments by being fine-tuned for the relevant end user's device and the customer's needs.

Immissions

The type of immission is not limited in a modern monitoring system.

No matter whether it is accoustic waves, vibrations or the concentration of air or water pollutants, that need to be monitored, any type of immission is suitable for the implementation of a modern software system. The type of presentation (charts, tables, colors, scales,...) is of course chosen allowing for the customer's needs and the type of immission.

The video shows, what an implementation of an alarm system based on the surveillance of noise levels may look like on a smart phone. Further steps may include automated or manual notification of people in charge or the control of the sound system via the smart phone.

Q: Is it really possible to integrate all kinds of measuring devices into a modern monitoring system?
A: Not all, but most of them. A measuring device needs to have a network interface (SIM card, WLAN module, LAN interface,...). Most measuring devices do have one.

Q: Can I operate my measuring devices via my smart phone?
A: If your measuring device supports operation via the GSM, LAN or WLAN interface, we can easily develop a suitable user interface for your smart phone.

Q: I would like to have something similar as what is shown in the video. Is that possible?
A: No problem. Would you please get in touch with us?

Q: How much is a monitoring system, can you tell me?
A: It depends on how much effort we have to put into the implementation. 100 Euro per month and measuring device are thinkable as well as comprehensive solutions that meet your particular requirements. The costs for a comprehensive monitoring system will rarely remain below 10.000 Euro or exceed 100.000 Euro.

A: It depends on what kinds of protocols your measuring devices are compatible with. Would you please get in touch with us in order to find out!

Q: How exactly does the data get on my smart phone?
A: Measuring devices are programmed in way that they send required data to a server. The implementation of the software that runs on the server is done by us. The server sends the data to your smart phone (or to the browser or to wherever you need it). Also this part of the implementation is done by WebIT Solutions.

Q: Where is my data kept physically?
A: Either on server that is located at a place of your choice (office,...) or on a server that we rent for you.

Q: Can I also have access to the data and/or to my measuring devices from an ordinary browser?
A: Sure, no problem.

Glossary
